Captain's Paddock was named after the resident horse 'Captain Jack', affectionately known as 'Captain'. Captain was 30 years old when he passed away in 2004 . The latest addition to the vineyard is 'Merlot', a red kelpie. She will greet you on arrival and try to go home with you on departure. Merlot is Queensland's only wine dog.

Captain's Paddock Vineyard, Cellar Door, Café and B&B offer a unique opportunity to experience South Burnett wines, food, views and hospitality at their best. Set on 25 acres of deep rich red volcanic soil Captains Paddock is the ideal location wine, dine or stay. The café and B&B are surrounded by 10 acres of Shiraz, Chardonnay and Merlot vines with spectacle views over the Booie Valley.

The cottage is available for overnight stays, breakfast included. A gorgeous cellar door operates seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm, offering tastings of some sensational Qld wines.
