Taste South Burnett is a combined
cellar door,
cafe and
function centre owned by
Shannon and
Megan Scott.
It's located in the historic Kingaroy Butter Factory in William Street, Kingaroy,
just a few blocks from the town's CBD.
Taste South Burnett stock wines from
Bellbird
Vineyards,
Barambah
Wines and Kingsley Grove Estate as well as Booie Range Liquers.
They also stock the full range of Kingaroy Cheeses, the full range of
Original Kingaroy Fudges and a delicatessen of hard-to-get local foods and coffees.
Their cellar door is open from 10:00am to 4:00pm every day
and in addition to free wine, cheese and fudge tastings they also offer
morning and afternoon teas and light lunches, which
guests can enjoy on the cellar door's shaded balcony or in the adjoining
landscaped picnic grounds.
Taste South Burnett is a popular destination for bus tour groups (who
are always welcome with a prior appointment) and there's plenty of free parking
in the grounds.
The Kingaroy Butter Factory complex also has a conference centre suitable for small groups
and functions, which can be hired with or without catering services. The
centre is equipped with the latest digital audiovisual equipment and can
comfortably accommodate groups of up to 45 people.
